Certificate IV in Retail Management (SIR40207)

Outline
The Academy is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which offers Certificates II, III & IV in Retail
Certificate IV Retail is being provided by The Academy as a means by which employers and employees can benefit.
An Employer may benefit financially, subject to the employee being eligible for Government Funding
An Employee can benefit by obtaining a Nationally Accredited Certificate IV in Retail by just continuing to do their current job and attain accreditation at no cost to themselves.
Who is Eligible?
Any Staff member/manager/supervisor who works at least 21 hours a week on average, and is an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident. The Staff member may not be eligible if they have a qualification greater than or equal to a Certificate IV in any field. (e.g. – Certificate IV in Hospitality etc)
Course Time
The course is competency based and may take 12 months to complete (many participants are able to complete their work in a shorter period). A Qualification and Trade Certificate is issued on successful completion of the course. A total of 10 Units must be completed to attain the qualification, inclusive of:
- SIRXMER004A: Manage merchandise and store presentation
- SIRXMGT003A: Lead and manage people
- SIRXOHS003A: Provide a safe working environment
- BSBCMN410A: Coordinate implementation of customer service strategies
- SIRXHRM002A: Recruit and select personnel
- SIRXINV005A: Control inventory
- SIRMER007A: Demonstrate merchandising and category presentation skills
- BSBSBM404A: Undertake business planning
- SIRXMPR004A: Market products
- SITXFIN003A: Interpret financial information
- SITHFAB009A: Provide responsible service of alcohol
