PEAK Partners
The Academy PEAK Partners are those hospitality venues or organizations that utilise the Academy’s training services, thereby supporting their own in-house training and enabling key managerial staff to concentrate on their core business.
AIMS:
- To develop key relationships between the ACADEMY training Department and group hotels, large individual hotels and 'iconic' or destination venues and firmly place the ACADEMY training Department through PEAK training as their preferred training supplier.
- To 'raise the bar' on entry level training for bar, gaming and bistro staff by ensuring new staff members add a PEAK Bar and a PEAK Gaming course to their RSA and RCG certification.
- To further 'raise the bar' on entry level training by adding cellar operations and/or food training to this initial requirement.
- To reduce venue training costs at line staff level by pushing more training to the pre-employment period.
- To maximise numbers through the ACADEMY’s skill recognition program and enable more industry personnel to achieve Certificate II and Cerificate III qualifications.
- To create greater levels of professionalism within the entire industry by requiring staff to undertake higher levels of industry training prior to employment, thereby increasing an individual's 'investment'.
- To maximize training numbers through the ACADEMY training department through PEAK training loyalty.
METHOD
The ACADEMY training department contacts key individuals within key venues by letter offering PEAK Partnership status for the Hotel/Group.
The ACADEMY will support its PEAK Partners through:
- Easier access to training courses
- Specific courses (compliance forums etc) to update key personnel
- A PEAK loyalty system offering training credits
- Training awards and scholarships
- Improved access to government training funds through the skill recognition program
PEAK Partners will support ACADEMY training by:
- Maintaining the ACADEMY as their preferred training provider
- Using and recommending ACADEMY training courses
- 'Raising the bar' on entry level for staff
- Using the ACADEMY skill recognition program
- Using the Academy's OHS Management System
