Outline
The Academy is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which offers Certificates II, III & IV in Hospitality.
Certificate IV Hospitality is being provided by the Academy as a means by which employers and employees can benefit.
An Employer may benefit financially, subject to the employee being eligible for Government Funding
An Employee can benefit by obtaining a Nationally Accredited Certificate IV in Hospitality by just continuing to do their current job and attain accreditation at no cost.
Who is Eligible?
Selected senior staff members who work at least 32+ hours a week on average, and are Australian citizens or Permanent Residents. The Staff member may not be eligible if they have a qualification greater than or equal to a Certificate IV, in any field. (e.g. – Certificate IV in Commerce, Trade Certificate etc).
Course Time
The course is competency based and may take up to 24 months to complete (many participants are able to complete their work in a shorter period). A Qualification and Trade Certificate is issued on successful completion of the course. A total of 26 Units must be completed to attain the qualification, inclusive of but not limited to:
- Receive & Store Stock
- Control & Order Stock
- Monitor Work Operations
- Implement Workplace Health Safety & Security procedures
- Lead & Manage People
- Interpret financial information
- Roster Staff
- Plan and implement sales activities
- Develop and implement a business plan
